Crafting Shower Invitations With Baby Footprint Graphics

As popular as baby footprint images and graphics are becoming nowadays for all sorts of baby shower invitations and similar celebrations, so are the numbers of graphics available either for free or at very low costs. Nowadays also it's very easy to download free or very cheap image and photograph editing software that is really just as good as, well, almost as good as the standard of professional software such as Photoshop. The reason I hesitate, is that if you're saving 0 to 0 on software and getting almost the equivalent performance, well, you can see what I'm getting at.

Most people are savvy enough to know how to find and download free software. PrintMaster is one to try out; and then of course there is the excellent open source software known as Gimp, which really does come very near to equaling the professional software of Adobe. Now the next thing is to do a search for something like "baby footprint graphic" or perhaps "picture of baby footprint"; you can also try "baby clipart". If you want to make sure you only find free images, then you should insert free, such as "free photos of baby footprint". If you still can't find anything and if you have a digital camera, you can always find a friend who has a little footed baby that you can 'borrow'. If your camera isn't a digital then you'll have to scan the resulting photo.

So now the fun and creativity begins. Of course, most parents will say that the baby footprint automatically engenders a warming feeling. This is true, and especially so if it is your own baby's footprint. However, if you are downloading an image from the Internet, it does not have that immediately personally endearing quality. To make up for that it is really important to have original or attractive featured or surrounding graphics.

Recently, while spacing out listening to music and watching all the wonderful patterns on the screen, it suddenly dawned on me that if I press the "Alt" and "screen print" buttons simultaneously, followed by "control C" to copy the screen image to the clip board. Then if I open up the standard Windows Paint program and press "control V" to paste it into the Windows Paint or equivalent type of program and save it, I then end up with some pretty amazing background graphics to play around with. What is more, it has every chance of being completely unique - what would you say? In fact to finesse the image a bit, put the music on pause, restart and immediately catch an image. Try it a few times and see if you agree.

So next you can settle into a suitable editing program that you're comfortable with, like Gimp, and you will soon be able to play around with these different images of wonderful patterns and come up with all sorts of creative ideas for baby shower invitations or other baby celebrations. These sorts of designs might be a little loud for baby christenings or more formal occasions so then just a baby footprint graphic will be sufficient. I hope that everyone who tries will have as much fun as I have.
